Joy Revealed

Jesus told us the Holy Spirit's work is to bring God's power and presence into our daily lives. Times of grief and mourning are part of life and Jesus invites us to bring these things to him. In meeting us in our sorrow, the Lord also reveals the joy of the new life he offers through his grace. What griefs do you need to bring to the Lord? Where do you think the Holy Spirit might be working to bring you new beginnings?

What is the Gospel?

Reformation Sunday is when we celebrate Martin Luther rediscovering the heart of the Gospel - justification by faith alone. That's good news! But is it still good news today?

Agree to Disagree

Rule of Life (Trellis & Vine)

Like a vine needs a trellis to grow healthy, our discipleship needs structure to grow as followers of Jesus. This is how we abide in Christ as a Community of Grace.

What Jesus Taught Us to Practice

Having seen Jesus' own spiritual practices last week, this week we hear Jesus teaching for his disciples on living these practices ourselves. How is the Lord calling you to deepen your discipleship to him?

The Practices of Jesus

As we are seeking to follow in the Way of Jesus, it makes sense to start by observing the practices that made up Jesus' own daily walk of life among us. Why did Jesus do what he did? What is the Holy Spirit showing you about what he wants to deepen in your spiritual life in this season?

A Better Way

If Jesus is the Way, how do we find our way to follow him? It is about becoming an apprentice of Jesus and not just a spectator. It is a foreign idea to most of us so we must learn the language of discipleship.

On a Mission of Grace

Our Missional Values say "We will see, love, serve, and teach people the way Jesus sees, loves, serves, and teaches people." Which of those have we been good at as a congregation? Where do we need to grow?

A Community of Disciples

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus at Community of Grace Lutheran Church? It is a journey, not a destination.

Where the Fountain Flows

Our God designed our lives to receive from him, his gifts of life, love and grace, and to be vessels of that life, to those around us. Are all our fountains in him, or do we trust in the leaky cisterns we build? Who is the Lord calling us to serve, as he calls us to be vessels of his love?
