Grace Kids Ministries

We are a community of disciples on a mission of grace. What does that mean? We believe being a community of disciples means knowing Jesus, trusting Jesus, imitating Jesus, and speaking Jesus in our everyday lives through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We call those verbs our formational values: Know Jesus, Trust Jesus, Imitate Jesus, and Speak Jesus. Out of that model of discipleship, we participate in Jesus' mission of grace through seeing, loving, serving, and teaching people the way Jesus does. We call those verbs our missional values: See People, Love People, Serve People, and Teach People. Everything we do in Grace Kids Ministries is intended to see, love, serve, and teach kids and their families so that they will come to know, trust, imitate, and speak Jesus as they begin to live out Jesus' mission of grace in their own lives.

Nursery

Nursery is available during both the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services every Sunday for children from infancy to three years old. Check in with a volunteer or staff member at the north end of the Commons to receive a nametag, security tag, and diaper bag label if needed. After checking in, signs will direct you to Room 114 in our preschool wing.

We also offer nursery care during most holiday and special services. We strive to notate nursery care availability for special service times through communication channels such as the bi-monthly Current publication, our weekly Grace Kids emails, and on our website.

Sunday School

From September to May, 1st-5th Grade students join their families for opening worship during our 9 a.m. services and are then gathered for Sunday School from both worship venues. Nursery, Preschool, and Kindergarten students are dropped off in their classrooms before services start. All grade levels may be picked up at 10:15 a.m.

Grace Kids in Worship

Kids join us in worship for the full service June-August, as well as once a month during the Sunday School year, usually on the First Sunday. This invites families to experience worship, teaching, the Lord's Prayer, and Holy Communion together. Children who see their parents participating in the regular practices of their faith community are more likely to stay connected to their faith into adulthood. First Sundays typically include a children's message as part of the service. Activity bags for kids are also available every Sunday just inside worship venue entrances.
