In this Advent Season, we are called to Prepare the Way for the Lord, not just into our world, but into our lives. As we sing in Joy to the World, we receive our king, when every heart prepares him room. What has been cluttering your heart space lately? We can't go our own way when we are following the Way of Jesus. We must follow the King's way. So which way will you go?

Why should Christians serve? Do we really have to? What does Jesus say about it? Spoiler alert: it's not convenient nor comfortable, and probably won't feel like you're living your best life.

Generosity

How we see life and handle the "stuff" in our lives is a direct reflection of our hearts' desires. Are we focused on the temporal or the eternal?

Joy Revealed

Jesus told us the Holy Spirit's work is to bring God's power and presence into our daily lives. Times of grief and mourning are part of life and Jesus invites us to bring these things to him. In meeting us in our sorrow, the Lord also reveals the joy of the new life he offers through his grace. What griefs do you need to bring to the Lord? Where do you think the Holy Spirit might be working to bring you new beginnings?
