The love of Jesus is never done reaching people. There is never a time when God says, “That’s enough now. Let’s call it a day and just forget about everyone else.” As a church family of Jesus followers, we reflect the heart of God to invite more and more people to know the love of Jesus. Join us for this message to learn more about our Vision2020 commitment to “Expand Our Invitation to Christ.”
Why? Have you ever wondered why our church does all the things it does? Why do we have Sunday services and ministry programs? Why are we launching out on a brave new course we call Vision2020? Join us for this message to learn Why.
Join us this week for our last week of our series on Isaiah and see how Isaiah is awakening to us how we can be part of God's mission to bring beauty out of the ashes of our lives today.
The Bible can be hard to read, hard to understand. Many people read the Bible and don’t know what to do with it. Jesus is not only the subject of the BIble, but he himself was a Bible reader and can teach us how read the Bible for life and grace. Join us for this message as we learn to read the Bible Jesus read.
Join us today to explore a promise from God that seems too good to be true. God promises to offer to exchange the things in our lives that leave us empty for what can truly satisfy our souls. What would it look like for this promise to come true in your life?
As the exiled people have been scattered through Babylon, they are now given the word of hope from God. But that word of hope begins to reveal a plan that is larger than they’d imagined. Through Isaiah God begins to reveal that his plan of Salvation is actually meant for all the world, and he will ultimately accomplish this not through a military victory, but through one suffering servant who will lay down his life for all who will receive His saving grace.
Up until now, the book of Isaiah has been filled with warnings to the people, to turn back to the Lord. At this point, disaster has fallen on the people. In times of disaster, what is needed are not warnings, but the comfort of hope. In Second Isaiah, God begins to lay out for this people the future that he has always wanted for them- a future where He himself will be the Way, the source, the Ransom for their lives. These prophesies begin to reveal how Jesus fulfills this purpose that has always been God’s good heart for his people.
When something is wrong, it really helps to know what that something is. A long time ago, God gave the prophet Isaiah an insight into what was wrong in his culture that still applies to our world today. Join us for this message as we learn not only Isaiah’s helpful diagnosis of what’s wrong but, even better, God’s solution.
In this world we can be so tempted to focus on the wrong things and place our trust in ourselves or in places that can’t save. We need the Lord’s help for us even to be able to focus on him, and so in all things, what is most needed is surrender.
Join us this week as we explore the greatest danger we face as human beings and how God is inviting us to join His rebellion against it.
